Coming to terms with my destiny

Coming to terms with my destiny

“Child, why have you treated us like this? Look, your father and I have been searching for you in great anxiety.”

Coming to terms with my destiny

“Child, why have you treated us like this? Look, your father and I have been searching for you in great anxiety.” “Didn’t you know that I have to be about my father’s business?”

Coming to terms with my destiny

“Lord, now I can go in peace, for my eyes have seen your salvation.”

“Your child is destined for the rising and falling of many in Israel . . . and a sword will pierce your own soul, too.”

Coming to terms with my destiny

“Lord, now I can go in peace, for my eyes have seen your salvation.”

“Your child is destined for the rising and falling of many in Israel . . . and a sword will pierce your own soul, too.”

Coming to terms with my destiny

“His mother pondered all these things in her heart.”

Lord God, I confess to you that I am often more interested in charting my own destiny rather than seeking your destiny for my life. Forgive me, Lord, for my self-centredness.

Throughout this coming year, help me to explore your destiny;-for my life as a family member -as a person who belongs to the

Prince of Peace community -as a child and a disciple of yours -as a person you place in various communities

Help me to take seriously those destinies and to live them out with all the passion and strength you give me.

Lord, this coming year is unknown, but you are not. You will walk with me. That’s all I need to know. Amen.

Welcome to Prince of Peace
