AS (ADJECTIVE) AS

When you compare something with a comparative you say.

A Mazda is more expensive than a Renault.

But if you compare with as (as+adjective+as) you can say the

same.A Renault is not as expensive as a Mazda.

A Mazda is more expensive than a Renault.

A Renault

is not as expensive as a Mazda

Here we were saying that the Mazda is more (+) than the Renault. But when we want to say that for example the Mazda

= Renault we would say.

A Mazda is as expensive as a Renault.

LET’S PRACTICE!

Now, let’s do one exercise with saying that El Diario del Otun = El Guayabal with

the adjective “FAR”

El diario del Otun is as far as El Guayabal

El Guayabal is as far as El Diario del Otun

Now, let’s compare shoes and use the adjective “MANY” and use the verb

“have” and not “to be”I have as many asshoes you

Now, lets say that Sarah drinks milk= Tom.

Sarah drinks as much milk as Tom

SOME AND ANYWould you like something to eat?

Yes, I would thanksOR No, I wouldn’t thanks.

For a long answerYes, I’d like something to eat thanks.
