WP20 In 1897 William A. Williamson was granted a U.S. patent for his invention of a corkscrew which is concealed inside a small bottle or bullet shape roundlet. The ends thread together and when unscrewed, a helix pivots at an angle to the base. This is the large caliber silver bullet. Small dent as shown. $95

WP29 Brass sword marked ARTAMOUNT MADE IN ITALY. $95

WP32 A bayonet fit sword / letter opener with cigar cutter. Artur Griep applied for a patent in Germany on March 29, 1949 for his cigar cutter (Zigarrenabschneider) design. The sliding cutter is pulled up and the cigar tip is inserted into a hole. The cutter is now depressed and the tip is cut. Patent No. 887,711 was published August 27, 1953. The holster for the sword has a magnifying glass. $175 with holster.

WP39 Russian made cannon. A rather interesting design - the cannon swivels perpendicular to the base forming a T-handle. The base has a cap lifter built in. The cannon barrel pulls off to expose the worm. $25

WP45 The year on the stand is 1906 but they were certainly made much later than that! Why 1906? The German imposter Friedrich Wilhelm Voight dressed up as a Prussian military officer in 1906. He became famous as the Captain of Köpenick (Hauptmann von Köpenick). The town of Köpenick gained a lot of notoriety when Carl Zuckmayer wrote a play about Voight. Several movies were also made. Here is Voight masquerading as a bottle stopper/pourer, a bottle opener, and a corkscrew. $45
