Attended a public elementary school and excelled above all expectation

About Gates…

Enrolled into the prestigious and private Lakeside School. Here he met Paul Allen, And wrote a his first software program at age of 13.

Gates and his friends became attract to the computer , And they started forming a Lakeside Programmers Group.

Gates Vision of career….

Micro-Soft is founded in 1975 by Bill Gates and Paul Allen.

The original name was Micro-Soft which was an abbreviation of Microcomputer Software.

Gates dropped out of Harvard during his junior in order to devote energy to Microsoft .

The beginning of Microsoft

On November 1, 1978 the Microsoft went international and opened a sales office in Japan

Contributor to economy of his country…Microsoft’s power and reputation grew, and

especially as it attracted the attention of the U.S.

He invested more than US$250 million in grants to create new small schools.

The Bill Gates announced March 2007 US$122 million initiative to send hundreds of the District of Columbia's poorest students to college.

Microsoft develops the MS-DOS MS-DOS puts Microsoft on the map MS-DOS is licensed to IBM in 1980,when

IBM approached Gates and Allen to make a home computers.

In 2001 Windows XP was introduced…

Gates receives the National Medal of Technology for Technological Achievement

Microsoft Windows for Workgroups wins an award for technical excellence from PC Magazine

In recent time…July 2008, Gates will step down as Chief Software Architect. He still remains the Chairman.

Gates wants to spend more time with family and charitable events.
