What is Benchmarking? Benchmarking is the inputting and submitting to an 

online database system of descriptive information about a building and the total energy and water use for the building for the previous calendar year.

What is Local Law 84 (LL84)? Local Law 84 (LL84), is a law in Greener Greater Buildings 

Plan, that standardizes the process of owners of “COVERED BUILDINGS” to benchmark  as defined, buildings exceeding 50,000 gross square feet and two or more buildings on the same tax lot or owned as condominiums exceeding 100,000 gross square feet.
