Respond to aspect - Asymetrical planting of trees will provide a
unifying visual quality as well as much needed
shade on the southern side of the mall.
- Trees will be chosen for their high crowns and
straight trunks to minimise visual clutter
Respond to aspect - The intention is to create a strong avenue
quality fostering views up and down the mall.
- Strategic splashes of colour from tree
planting will contribute to the articulation of
secondary spaces

Jets can be activated at alternative periods and act as informal play elements.
Play elements such as stepping stones with text inlays can provide informal play spaces under the trees.
