Extra-Curricular Activity and Interests ________________________________

In the summer of 2010, I took part in a month long community help expedition

to Ecuador & the Galapagos Islands. The experience was life changing and I feel

I came back with a new passion to study abroad. I had first hand experiences of

the harsh reality of the third world. Planning for the trip went on for two years

and I raised the money to go by myself, £4,000 each. World Challenge ethos

meant that everyone in the group had a turn to lead the rest of the group; this

presented a huge responsibility as in country we were faced with language

barriers. My sense of adventure has been greatly heightened since going on the

trip and I also feel that I am a lot more efficient in organization and

communication.

From the year 1999 – 2009 I was a player for my local football team, this made

me the team player I am today and gave me motivational and communication

skills that I use in everyday life today.
