ABOUT
Davao 360°: An Eco-Tourism Quest is a PBoX dedicated to the promotion, exploration,
and conservation of Davao tourist attractions. It seeks to generate ecological awareness in
the Davao Region by increasing knowledge beyond the basics through personal experiences
of our international volunteers to be shared to its audience – domestic and international
youth and potential tourists – through pictures, videos, and blog articles. The big idea is to
create an online viral campaign employing the use of social networking and media sites
(Facebook, YouTube, own website, etc.) to uphold the project, taking into consideration that
the online market is the best avenue to easily reach wider audience base beyond local
borders.
Mt. Apo, the highest peak in the Philippines, is
in Davao.

WHY CHOOSE DAVAO?
The Davao Region is naturally gifted by nature. It is situated in a typhoon-free zone with
good weather all-year round—adorned with bountiful jaw-dropping sceneries, majestic
endemic species of flora and fauna, and glorious landscapes varying from wide mountain
ranges and valleys to rich blue waters. Davao is the home of the country’s highest peak,
Mt. Apo; national bird and world’s largest eagle, the Philippine Eagle; durian, the ―King of
Fruits‖; and has the second best potable water in the world according to the World Health
Organization.
Davao is inhabited by many indigenous tribes, migrant settlers from all over the country,
and a fast-growing number of emigrants co-existing in peaceful synergy; thus creating a
vibrant mosaic of cultures, both old and new.
Davao is rapidly evolving into a center of agro-industrial business, trade and tourism thus
becoming a crucial player in linking major growth centers in Mindanao and neighboring
countries like Brunei and Indonesia.
Bearing in mind all these remarkable features, AIESEC Davao has concocted a project that
will showcase our region’s gifts to the world.
The project aims to instill a sense of stewardship to its audience to protect and conserve Davao ecotourism areas intended to spawn beyond mere awareness but eventually a behavior change wherein they will see the profound importance of the preservation
of these sites.
