CVSO’s 45th season kicks o with guest violinist Richard Lin, Gold Medalist of the International Violin Competition of Indianapolis, performing Brahms’ Violin Concerto. This will be followed by a performance of Mendelssohn’s mighty “Reformation" Symphony.

Family favorites "Peter and the Wolf" by Prokoev, and Britten’s "YoungPeople’s Guide to the Orchestra," are performed with narration by localartist Joseph Hubbard. The winner of the Annual Kristo OrthodonticsYoung Artist Competition is also featured.

thrilled to perform two of Brahms’ concertos with world class soloists Richard Lin, the Gold Medalist of the International Violin Competition of Indianapolis, and Kenneth

Broberg, the Silver Medalist of the Cliburn International Piano Competition. We cherish the

holiday spirit with favorite Christmas classics includ-ing “The Nutcracker,” with an elegant ballet perfor-

mance by the dancers of Diamond School of Dance. And please do not miss “Peter and the Wolf,” the most beloved masterpiece for young audiences, at the February concert. The Chippewa Valley Festival Choir will join us to celebrate Mr. Beethoven’s 250th birthday, performing his mighty “The Ninth Symphony.”
