Welcome to Déda’s new programme ofclasses and events for Summer.
This programme is smaller than usual as its main purpose is to let you know aboutchanges to the class programme duringbuilding works to create a new Studio andimproved Theatre.
We’re keeping the majority of the classesrunning as normal throughout the buildperiod. In some cases, due to different roomsizes, popular classes may have a smallermaximum capacity during this interim period. So to make sure you don’t miss out, pleasebook in advance. If you have any questions, please contact the Box Office on 01332 370911or visit www.deda.uk.com.
Our BA Dance degree – in conjunction with the University of Derby – will greet its firststudents in September 2014, by which timewe’ll also be preparing to unveil our newfacilities. The new Studio will be the onlypurpose-built space for the teaching of CircusArts in the East Midlands – including trapezework, hoop, silks and Chinese pole!
Steve WoodwardHead of Marketing
Keep your eyes on the Déda website to findout more details of this exciting addition to our programme, which keeps dance andmovement at the heart of everything that we do.
Alongside a performance from C12 (as seenat Derby Festé 2013), we’ll also be presentinga preview of Derby’s newest and cheekiestnight out, cabaret and burlesque show La Dé Da (part of the Derby Comedy Festival). The final show in the theatre before therenovation will be the charming familyshow, Too Many Penguins, in May, which is a fitting and fun way to end the season.
Rest assured when we launch our newfacilities in the Autumn, we will be standing in a bigger, bolder and moreresilient organisation for Derby and the East Midlands.
