What is the story?

Impact• Make an impact• First few seconds are important• How does it make the viewer feel?– Evoke reaction, feelings (shock, humour)– Make people ecstatic, deeply moved, laugh

• Success = touch hearts, people questioning (the video or themselves or the product – want to know more)

• Clear, clever, climactic closingExamples:

Polish• Again – catch viewer attention right from the

start• Clear, creative storyline• Good use of timely effects• Good use of music to enhance• Well thought out closing

Produce & Evaluate• Short, sharp titles• Effective use of graphics, [not pixelated, size (mb)]

• Effective use of effects [don’t overdo it]

• Effective use of time [could it be said in less time?]

• Is the story clear?• Evaluate it: [have some one else look at it]– Does it make sense?– What was their reaction?
