Director’s Notes
I was delighted when we chose Bonnie & Clyde the musical for our main 2016 production. It is always enjoyable and challenging to portray real characters and, although for entertainment’s sake, Bonnie and Clyde have been somewhat sanitised, their story is still an exciting and one.
I have a stellar cast who have worked really well together, in fact the whole company is a team who help me and each other in whatever way they can. I thank you all.
Revellers are blessed with a wealth of talent and have a reputation for nurturing new, young performers who then rise through the ranks to deliver excellent portrayals. Many of these are evident in Bonnie & Clyde today.
We also welcome a new Musical Director, John Dolby, to our society. He has brought a fresh approach and a whole host of new musicians to the production and I have enjoyed working with him. New choreographer Jo Linford has also been invaluable with her enthusiasm and skills not to mention playing the part of Blanche with superb talent.
Last, but by no means least, I thank my husband Clive, who has done so much to support me and Revel-lers. Photographer, designer, properties construction (he has made everything from guns to a dead chick-en!) And performer I don’t know what I would do without him - probably have a nervous breakdown!
We have revelled in rehearsal, working hard but enjoying some laughs, some drama and the delightful musical score that is Bonnie & Clyde. I do hope you all enjoy it too.

About Bonnie & Clyde
At the height of the great depression Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow went from twosmall town nobodies in West Texas to America’s most renowned folk heroes and Texas law enforcement’s worst nightmares. Fearless, shameless and alluring the Tony-nominated Bonnie & Clyde from the legendary Frank Wildhorn (Jekyll & Hyde, Civil War, Dracula) is the electrifying story of love, adventure and crime that captured the attention of an entire country.
When Bonnie & Clyde meet, their mutual cravings for excitement and fame immediately set them on a mission to chase their dreams. Their bold and reckless behaviour turns the young lovers’ thrilling adventure into a downward spiral, putting themselves and their loved ones in trouble with the law. Forced to stay on the run, the lovers resort to robbery and murder to survive. As the infamous duo’s fame grows their inevitable end draws nearer.
Bonnie and Clyde is a thrilling and sexy, new musical with a non-traditional score combining blues, gospel and rockabilly music and provides a wonderful option to showcase strong, contemporary singers and actors.
The reception we have had from this theatre has been superb and most helpful. AsChairman, it is traditional to thank members of the company who have done particularly sterling work on the show, but there isn’t room for all the people who have helped. So I thank everyone most sincerely for their contributions
I write this not knowing if anyone will come to see Bonnie & Clyde, but if you’re reading this, then at least one person did. Enjoy the show.

Chairman’s Notes
Thank you for coming to see a Revellers’ performance. This is our first trip to Stamford as we are basically a Peterborough based company. Having said that, during my membership, we have performed in thirty different locations around Peterborough and in Norfolk. The venues have varied from the Embassy Theatre to Peterborough Park and the West Front of Peterborough Cathedral. In fact anywhere we can put up a temporary stage we will perform and have done so since 1947.
