LOCATION: Osceola County, State of Florida

In the early 90’s the DDC established the “Celebration Company” to lead the development.

Celebration is planned in an early 20th century architectural style

Disney Chief Executive Officer Michael Eisner took a especially keen interest in the development in the early days.

THE history

Celebration is inspired on Walt Disney’s vision of the ideal town.“Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow”

CELEBRATION DOWNTOWN

During the holiday season, soap flakes pour out of the street lights on Main Street to replicate snow and Christmas music plays from the sidewalks.

There is a water fountain located next to the lake surrounded by palm trees and benches.

COMMUNITY

Celebration has a variety of community organizations that try to maintain the town.

There are seven registered Christian Churches, one Hospital Ministry, and one Jewish congregation

There are parks throughout the town as well as a fire department, schools, a post office...

There is a hospital, and a golf course.

VILLAGES

CELEBRATION VILLAGE (main village)

These are the two original villages, where the Celebration "pioneers" first settled.

WEST VILLAGE

EAST VILLAGE(LAKE EVALYN)

In a stroke of originality, this neighborhood was named after the lake that fronts the most desirable homesites.

SOUTH VILLAGE NORTH VILLAGE

It is mostly a residential area, but there are some businesses

Attractions + Tourists + Highway = Noise.

This is mainly a residental area.Located a little farther from downtown.

Many different styles harmonize because the designers of Celebration used similar colors and materials for all the buildings.
