In industries management of e-waste should begin at the point of generation. Waste minimization in industries involves adopting: 1. inventory management, 2. production-process modification, 3. volume reduction, 4. Recovery and reuse.

In order to lessen the amount of e-waste being produced, individuals can do many things. Such as: 1) Keep you old electronics longer instead of replacing them. 2) If discarding old electronics be sure to recycle them at trusted recycling centre. 3) Purchase efficient electronics that do not

contain hazardous components such as lead or mercury.
