MDMA acts as a releasing agent of serotonin, norepinephrine, and dopamine (DA).

Serotonin is a neurotransmitter that plays an important role in the regulation of mood, sleep, pain, appetite, and other behaviors.

The excess release of serotonin by MDMA likely causes the mood elevating effects and negative behavioral aftereffects for several days after taking MDMA.

MDEA has a shorter duration: 3-5 hours and therefore looks more for speed. So, A user a well take a second or even a third MDEA pill, and thus is taking a great risk.
