IssueESS uses JavaFX which faces issues utilizing hardware accelerated VMs. This can lead to wrongly rendered JavaFX based dialogs even missing some components like shown below:

Adapter visible in “Mini Live View”doesn’t show up in“Device Configuration”

Solution – Step 1

1. Shutdown the VM2. Navigate to “Virtual Machine Settings”

Choose “Display”

Solution – Step 3

1. Disable 3D Graphics Accelerationby switching to “OFF”2. Start the VM

Solution – Step 4

Verify that the adaptervisible in the “Mini Live View”now shows up in“Device Configuration”

- MacBook Air- OS X (10.9.2)- VMware Fusion Pro 6.0.2- Windows 7 Pro x64 – SP1- ESS 7.0.2 (using one NIC adapter,

internal adapter not used here)
