Sleeping Away
No more pain, no more tears, no more worries, no more fears, A better place now I have to stay,
But I’m not dead, I’m just sleeping away.
My beautiful wife, don’t shed a tear, my eight children, don’t you fear.
For I am watching you here above, the rain that falls is touched with my love
Every drop that falls on your face, Think of me with loving grace. I am not far, but close at heart,
don’t fret, don’t fear, I am forever near. Can you feel the sunshine warm on your face?
Then feel my long embrace, I am not dead, I have not passed away.
I am sleeping until one Great Day when I can see you face to face
and know for sure that you are safe.
No more pain, no more tears, no more worries, no more fears. A better place now I have to stay,
but I’m not dead, I’m just sleeping away.
