Download and Install QGIS

Install Emergency Mapper Plugin

1.Click Manage and Install Plugins…

2.Type emergency mapper in search box

• This wizard will guide you how to create a map overlay with OSM and crowdsource data

an analysis of affected building and affected population

1.Click Rapid Map button

2.Automatic download world administrative boundaries If it is not available.

Rapid Map Step 1.1 Select a Country

Select a country, we provided 34 countries who members of ADRC and JPT

Rapid Map Step 1.2 Location Search

1. Click Location Search button

2. Type location in search bar, then click Search button

3. Click the location result

4. Click OK

Rapid Map Step 2 Map Selection1. Background map : we

provided several opensource map services

2. Building data : download building data from OSM or use your own data

3. Road data : download road data from OSM or use your own data

4. Geobingan data : download data were being collected by community

5. Other data : use your own data

services you want to use, for this example we use openstreetmapmap service

1. We provide two option

• Use OpenStreetMap data by download from OSM server.

• Use your own local data and import it.

2.Click ”Download” to

download geobingan data based on current map extent

3.Downloaded data will create

a new layer

• (1) Click “Add…” to get data from your local machine

• If you want to remove the file from list, you can check the box (3) and click “Remove” (2)

• Then click “OK”

1. To delete the layer, check the box you want to delete

2. Click “Delete”

1. Fill up title, description and disclaimer

2. Choose resolution3. Fill up output directory and

name of the file4. Click ”Export to PDF” if you want

to have map in PDF format, and “Export to JPG” to have file in JPG format

5. Click Customize if you want to redesign the map
