Ephesians 1:7

In [Christ] we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according

to the riches of his grace….

Sins of Commission = Acts that Violate God’s law

Sins of Commission = Action that Violate God’s law

Sins of Omission = Failure to Promote God’s Glory

Most merciful God,we confess that we have sinned against theein thought, word, and deed,by what we have done, and by what we have left undone. We have not loved thee with our whole heart;we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. We are truly sorry and we earnestly repent. For the sake of thy Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on us and forgive us;that we may delight in thy will, and walk in thy ways,to the glory of thy Name. Amen.

Hebrews 12:15

See to it that no one fails to obtain the grace of God; that

no “root of bitterness” springs up and causes trouble, and by

it many become defiled….

FACING THE HORROR AND HELPLESSNESS

Leviticus 13:45-46

The leprous person who has the disease shall wear torn clothes and let the hair

of his head hang loose, and he shall cover his upper lip and cry out,

‘Unclean, unclean.’ He shall remain unclean as long as he has the disease. He is unclean. He shall live alone. His dwelling shall be outside the camp.

Numbers 5:1-3

The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Command the people of Israel that they

put out of the camp everyone who is leprous or has a discharge and everyone who is unclean through contact with the

dead.…that they may not defile their camp, in the midst of which I dwell.”

1 John 1:7, 9

… if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with

one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.… If

we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to

cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
