Ephesians 6:10-13

• 10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.• 11 Put on the full armor of God so that you can take

your stand against the devil's schemes.• 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but

against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

• 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

Paul’s last major admonition to us as to how we should “live a life” or “walk worthy of our calling” (4:1)

• In order to walk worthily, Paul instructs them to: – walk in unity.– walk in new life– walk as imitators of God– walk in submission– Finally Paul adds walking in the Strength of God

Ephesians 5:18 and 6:10

“…be filled with the Spirit…”(continually allow the Spirit to fill us)

“…be strong in the Lord…” (continually allow God to strengthen us)

• For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.

What are some of our spiritual weapons?

• Prayer• The Spirit of God dwelling in us• The Word of God • The armor of God• Our obedience to God

In order to walk in the strength of God we must remember:

• The energy - Don't use your own power, but continually let God empower you with His strength.

• The enemy - Your enemy is not flesh and blood. Your enemy is Satan and the forces of darkness.

• The equipment - To win spiritual battles we must use spiritual weapons.

• The end result - you will be able to resist in the evil day and stand firm.

2 Corinthians 2:14

spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him.”
