Now we take it from the lab to the road

After 15 minutes the emulsion started to break

Air Temperatures were in the low 90’s which assisted in the breaking of the emulsion

25 minutes after application, paving began.

Same day paving vs. 48 hours with a cut back prime.

Compared to other emulsions or cut back primes, ePrime is the way to go.

40 minutes after application light traffic does not disturb the prime

A cut back prime would not work in a residential setting.

You would not do this with a cut back prime!

Prime coat protected the base from weather and construction traffic for 7 days while the

base cured

“The thing I like about ePrime is that we can shoot it out and pave on it two hours later. Just like MC70, it holds the moisture and locks up the grade. Unlike MC70, the trackout is virtually unnoticeable. Most primes trackout 1-2 miles from the jobsite. ePrime soaks in and sets up right away so you don’t get any pickup of emulsion on your trucks and no tracking of emulsion.
