What is it?“Digg is a place for people to discover and share content

from anywhere on the web. From the biggest online destinations to the most obscure blog, Digg surfaces the best

stuff as voted on by our community.”

AudienceDigg is target to everyone on the web. It’s a place where anyone can find interesting content that is specific to their

interests.Creators | Critics | Collectors | Joiners | Spectators

Target Market for BusinessWith such a large target market (almost everyone) ads need to be very targeted. DiggAds provides an interactive advertising experience for members. You decide what ads are successful

and which ones get buried.

HighlightsCustomization helps content reach its proper targets. Newsrooms

(beta) collects information from other social media sources. Digg provides a very interactive experience that makes your opinion truly count.

IssuesUnless you use a filter, some content might be vulgar and off-

putting. Private and/or leaked material can be harmful for reputation. Competition against sites like Reddit and Del.icio.us

dilute the market.

FailuresThe HD-DVD processing key leak showed that the users

control the content. It was a flop for the movie industry but a victory for the internet community. Digg users revolted

when website went through changes.

SuccessesHeld as the first website to give users the power to spread

information to the masses. Always looking for ways to improve their website and user experience. DiggAds give

adverting incentive and (again) give users power.

TrendsThe clutter of social media websites is making it hard to

compete. Competition has affected Digg and is forcing them to make changes. Do they stay the course and keep

innovating or do listen to their loyal users?

Why get involved? There are many similar websites these days but I believe that Digg surpasses the others in quality and content. Check

out the news, click a few links and I’m sure you’ll find something that you like.

Thank you for listening!
