• Comprises of mainland Spain, the Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean and the Canary Islands in the Atlantic

• The Strait of Gibraltar separates Spain from the African continent.

Mountains and RiversThe Cantabrian Mountains separates the country into 2 distinct halves:• Rainy North• Dry South

There are 3 main rivers:• Ebro in north-east• Tajo in Central Spain• Guadalquivir in the South

the country are from 9am to 8pm, Monday-Saturday• During the afternoon, shops normally stay

stay closed during the holidays in August.

Tipping•The people of Spain are not

used to big tipping, but if one is satisfied with the food one can leave a few coins which will be appreciated.
