create tension because the character’s face (foreground) is in focus whereasthe background is out of focus making the viewer concentrate on the character more.

SoundTo put a verdict to clip and boom microphones, we thought theClip microphone was much better to use than the boom microphone.The biggest reason why we thought it was better was because of not havingto worry about it being in shot. Our location included a mirror in the background and keeping the boom microphone out of shot was time consumingand it wasted time. Despite preferring the clip microphone I can understand whena boom would be needed but that depends on the scene being filmed.

•The day we filmed it was a sunny day and some scenes were too bright so we had to use the lowest key lighting as possible.

•In some scenes the lighting on my face was too dark so we used a mirror to reflect sunlight onto my face, the mirror acted as our fill light whilst the sun was acting as a backlight.

Here we used a large mirror to reflect thesun onto my face instead of using a fill anda key light because it balanced out the amountof light on my face better.
