• Everything featured on my magazine cover has a purpose and with style comes substance for my magazine ad because it needs to look good but also address audiences.

• I have tried to keep my magazine advert as conventional as possible which is what I will judge here…

CONVENTIONALWhilst it seems conventional for some form of the album to feature as the set image on a magazine advert, I have found examples of magazine adverts that feature a separate image with the album cover featured on the advert.

I feel that a lot of album covers tend to feature the band somewhere and presenting the roles in a particular way as shown in this Pink Floyd album cover.

Ratings- it is very conventional to give an official ratings because it brings trust and approval to the audiences

The date of release is crucial because there is a need for albums to pick up sales swiftly.

I felt may was a strong time for album sales and with a target audience of teenagers and young adults, 25th may is the holiday season so audiences will begin to buy the album.

QR code- Becoming a new convention, allowing smartphone users to access further information about the album for example.

As with some magazine adverts, they feature the same album art work for their advert, so I needed to feature my album somewhere on the magazine cover clearly so that audiences will notice and have a clear visual idea what the album looks like.

Having the website on the advert is crucial as it allows audiences to access the bands fan base online with the opportunity to potentially listen to songs and watch music videos. A website will provide information on tours and merchandising of the album.
