•  17 years of university studies •  +20 years in Coello •  +3000 coaching hours •  2014 Cerfied LSP facilitators •  3 weeks later….our first workshop

Agenda

•  Case presentation – 3 cases •  Our experiences •  What gives us energy?

3

Let’s play!

What gives you energy with using LSP? - Build a model (3 min.) - Share with your neighbour (2 min)

4

Method – case presentation

•  Background •  Intervention •  Practical examples •  Experiences

5

Case 1: Individual coaching

6

Background

7

•  Tennis player on a high level •  Can´t control temper when about

to lose a tennis game •  Wants to improve her self-

management skills

Intervention

•  5 individual coaching sessions •  LSP used to help her

- look at her temper in new ways - seperate herself from her temper

to help her selfmanage •  Application technique 1

8

Practical example What makes you happy?

9

Tiffi ”He is my dragon, that can spit fire, and is always happy. He is carrying me on his back and we can fly all over the world.”

Practical example Build your temper

10

Toffi ”My temper has many colours and controls me and my tennis. It is my enemy, it´s huge and it will destroy everything. He is also my friend. That is why I am standing on his legs.

Practical example Your perfect temper

11

”My last figure is Tofifi, a combination of Toffi and Tiffi. The flags show that it is trying to get the best out of the situation. The temper is behind the grey bars, so it does not take over. Tofifi is in balance – both sides look equal. On the back there is a propella, that kicks ass and is controlled by the temper. I wear my ” flower yes hat” and I stand stable on my legs, because the temper and the ”flower yes hat” and me are present.

Experiences: What I learned •  ”I love to play with the lego bricks. I

saw that my temper is both an enemy and a friend. I need it and I have to be in charge every time it wants to take over. I will think of this every time I look at the model in the future!”

12

Case 2: Team development

13

Background •  Management team (global retailer) - 8 persons •  Change of current vision and strategic setup •  Wish to proactively work on future vision and

prepare for the unknown •  Build on the individual and team strengths to

become a strong team and impact on future agenda

14

Intervention •  Two facilitators – 6 days workshop (LSP) •  Exploration of the future strategic

change •  Application techniques 1-7

Practical example (SGP)

17

Experiences •  ”Better team dynamics” •  ”SGP that will support us WHEN we face the

unknown” •  ”Possibility to go back to our videos when we are

a bit lost” •  ”A ”true” round table discussion where each

person added value as opposed to one person driving the agenda and everybody else agree or disagree.”

18

Experiences •  ”Good method for aligning 8 people with different

viewpoints through describing and sharing models.”

•  ”More united with a common view on strategy” •  ”Helped us to work smarter in a more smooth

way together.” •  ”Refer to the workshop and use the story of

future vision” •  ”FUN and serious”

19

Case 3: Survey

20

Background •  A large retailer prepares a future store

solution presentation globally and wants to find out how the documentation is perceived locally before it is launched.

•  They want to find ways to improve the documentation and to create a common ownership.

21

Intervention

•  7x3 hours workshops with end users: Stores, commercial team, external designers (42 persons)

•  Application technique 1+2

22

Experiences 1 year later

•  ”Based on the work we started, we have moved forward. The users seem to appreciate the changes and we are moving towards finding new ways of continuing our work. We are all very happy with the progress and movements. Feels great sharing this with you and concluding that our work really made a differenceJ”

23

Experiences •  ”It was fun and creative” •  ”I have learned much more from

these models than I have learned for a long time just talking”

•  ”We went beyond words and the different components and roles became clear”

•  ”I love being payed for building Lego – more of that please!”

24

Experiences •  ”Previously we had feedback through surveys and

interviews. The difference sits with the depth in the output.”

•  ”I experienced that the participants relaxed very quickly and shared more extensively their true opinion and reflection about the topics we asked about.”

•  ”The co-creation approach makes ideas and problems concrete and doing, not just talking, helps to better understand the problem and the possible solutions.”

•  ”A fruitful and inspiring way of getting out in-depth insight and opinions about a topic and fun!”

25

Our experiences •  LSP takes time to prepare •  LSP needs lots of room •  External venue is to prefer •  Facilitation matters! •  Get familiar with all application techniques

asap •  TRAIN-TRAIN-TRAIN as soon as you have

got your certification •  Be playful when you mess it up!

26

Our experiences BE FLEXIBLE!

27

What gives us energy about LSP?

•  Fun •  Goes beyond words and connects people •  LSP works both in coaching, team development

and as a tool for surveys. •  Fun, Energy, passion, gives room for vulnerability

and for flow experiences •  Fully aligned with our fundamentals and methods •  LSP helps people perform
