youm N’gangue is a journalist, originally from Cameroon, but he left the country in 1997 after being

imprisoned for his writing. He then lived for awhile in Paris where he led the JAFE orga- nization (Journalistes Africains en exil). He works for a number of newspapers and radio stations.

Currently, N’gangue lives in Ouagadou- gou, the capital of Burkina Faso, where he is editor of Planète Jeunes, the magazine for young people. In Sweden, he is known first and foremost for the comic strip album Une éternité à Tanger (En evighet i Tanger), which was a cooperative undertaking with the illu- strator Faustin Titi.
