Regular  –  This  category  is  for  any  doe  that  does  not  readily  faint  but  their  back  legs  stiffen.    This  must  be  documented  by  photo.  Heritage  -­‐  This  category  is  for  all  animals  that  readily  faint  and  fall  down  in  a  myotonic  state  but  the  sire  and  dam  are  not  registered.    Picture  of  goat  in  down  position  required.

The  International  Fainting  Goat  Association  is  a  non-­‐profit  corporation  designed  to  educate  the  public  about  the  breeding  and  preservation  of  the  Fainting  Goat.    To  register,  promote,  and  establish  Fainting  Goat  shows,  sales,  and  activities.    The  International  Fainting  Goat  Association  is  governed  by  a  Board  of  Directors.  Fainting  Goats  are  registered  in  four  categories.    The  categories  include:  Certified  Premium  –  This  category  is  for  all  animals  that  readily  faint  and  fall  down  in  a  myotonic  state.    This  must  be  documented  by  photo.    Sire  and  Dam  must  be  registered  with  the  IFGA  or  another  goat  registry.  Premium  –  This  category  is  for  all  animals  that  readily  faint  and  fall  down  in  a  myotonic  state.    Sire  and  dam    must  be  registered  with  the  IFGA  to  qualify  for  this  category.
