The SS Normandie was an ocean liner built in the early 1930s in Saint-Nazaire for the French Line Compagnie Générale Transatlantique. Maureen Crilly, an interior designer and Adj. Asst. Professor of Interior Design History at the Fashion Institute of Technology/School of Design, will speak about the introduction of Art Deco design to New York through the luxe design and world of celebrity of the infamous ocean liner.
