Point of Entry

Both parents crossed the border on foot, as for the point of entry, they were the Arizona border and San Diego border.

Economic activity

DadWhen in Mexico, my dad worked in in the primary sector and after moving to the USA, he eventually stated working in the tertiary sector.

MomWhile in Mexico, my mom worked in the secondary sector and after moving here to America, she moved in to the tertiary sector as well.

Assimilation

After immigrating to America, lifestyles adjusted and inevitably picked up American customs.

Religion Coming to

America, there were plenty of ethnic neighborhoods that shared the religion of being Catholic.

Chain Migration On both sides

of my family, one of the reasons they moved here was because of another family member telling them how nice it was here.

Language Barrier

After settling here in America, there were some language barriers but being in an ethnic neighborhood plenty of people spoke Spanish already.

Climate Even though it

wasn’t the primary reason to move to the United Stated, climate was a nice reason to stay.

Education

Although my parents did not come to further their education, they did come here to give their children a better education in the future.
