THE LAST MAN

STANDING

7 By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that is in keeping with faith.

HEBREWS 11:7

Being a father in these last days is a difficult task. A Father must

be a Provider, a Partner, a Priest,

and a Pattern.

In the case of noah,

this meant:

(1)A

consistent effort.

Worked and preached for 120 years.

(2)A combined

effort.

All Noah's family worked together.

(3)A

coMMITTED effort.

Noah was the LAST MAN ON EARTH TO DO THE JOB.

HOW TO BE THE LAST

MAN STANDING

(1)HAVE A

RELATIONSHIP WITH

GOD.

Noah walked with God on a daily basis. He did not

simply know ABOUT God, he knew God!

(2)LISTEN TO THE WORD OF GOD.

God told Noah what was going to happen and what

he should do to make preparations and Noah

followed God's instructions.

What do you do in your life that is caused by God's

directions to you?

(3)ACT UPON WHAT GOD

SAID.

Prepared an ark to the saving of his household.

A Long term Project.A well planned Project.

A family involving Project (Many men today are so busy

being successful until they lose sight of the family they're to be

successful for!)

(4)BE WILLING

TO FACE OPPOSITION TO STAND FOR GOD.

Condemned all who did not heed God's advice--

other children were more popular but Noah's didn't

drown.

(5)LOOKED BEYOND

“NOW” TO THE

FUTURE.

He had respect unto the recompense of Reward.

Be willing to build a boat now for a mansion in the

future.

Alois Schicklgruber

(7 June 1837 – 3 January 1903)

Alois Schicklgruber was born in the hamlet of Strones, parish of Döllersheim, in the Waldviertel, an area in northwest Lower Austria, to a 42-year-old unmarried peasant, Maria Schicklgruber, whose family had lived in the area for generations. At his baptism in Döllersheim, the space for his father's name on the baptismal certificate was left blank and the priest wrote "illegitimate". His mother cared for Alois in a house she shared with her elderly father, Johannes Schicklgruber.

He was 36 years old when he married for the first time. Anna Glasl-Hörer was a wealthy, 50-year-old daughter of a customs official. She was sick when they married and was either an invalid or became one shortly afterwards. Not long after marrying his first wife, Anna, Alois began an affair with Franziska "Fanni" Matzelsberger, one of the young female servants employed at the Pommer Inn, house #219, in the city of

Braunau am Inn, where he was renting the top floor as a lodging. Smith states that Alois had numerous affairs in the 1870s, resulting in his wife initiating legal action; on 7 November 1880 Alois and Anna separated by mutual agreement. The 19-year-old Matzelsberger became his 43-year-old girlfriend. In 1876, three years after He married Anna, he had hired Klara Pölzl as a household servant.

She was the 16-year-old granddaughter of his step-uncle (and possible father or biological uncle) Nepomuk. If Nepomuk was His father, Klara was Alois' half-niece. If his father was Johann Georg, she was his first cousin once removed. Matzelsberger demanded that the "servant girl" Klara find another job, and Alois sent Pölzl away.

Alois wanted his son to seek a career in the civil service. However, his son had become so alienated from his father that he was repulsed by whatever Alois wanted. His son sneered at the thought of a lifetime spent enforcing petty rules. Alois tried to browbeat his son into obedience while his son did his best to be the opposite of whatever his father wanted.

Robert G. L. Waite noted, "Even one of his closest friends admitted that Alois was 'awfully rough' with his wife [Klara] and 'hardly ever spoke a word to her at home'." If Alois was in a bad mood, he picked on the older children or Klara herself, in front of them. William Patrick says that he had heard from his father, Alois Jr, that Alois Sr. used to beat his children.

After Alois and his oldest son Alois Jr. had a climactic and violent argument, Alois Jr. left home, and the elder Alois swore he would never give the boy a penny of inheritance beyond what the law required. According to reports, Alois liked to lord it over his neighbors.

On the morning of 3 January 1903, Alois went to the Gasthaus Wiesinger (No.1 Michaelsbergstrasse, Leonding) as usual to drink his morning glass of wine. He was offered the newspaper and promptly collapsed. He was taken to an adjoining room and a doctor was summoned, but Alois died at the inn, probably from a pleural hemorrhage.
