Candles … when they are lit … give themselves away as light and warmth

until they are quite extinguished. They are wonderful symbols of Jesus. On fire with the Holy Spirit, mounted on the candlestick of the cross … he gives himself away, even unto death, to be our light and warmth. Then hopefully we go out to be candles for the rest of the world.

A note from the Administrator

P. Mike

Una nota del Administrador

Dear friends,

The news this last week has not been good. The US is set to be the next epicenter of CoronaVirus outbreak, with New York City and Southern California featured for star roles.

I wish God would take the problem away.

But very often God’s reply is not to remove our troubles but to hold our hand, stare peace into our eyes through the loving eyes of Jesus, and sanctify us through what-ever will happen. It’s all part of the strange road to heaven.

The water is getting deeper and deeper and it may be that some of us are going to die. But there’s no falling out of God’s hands, and the sting of death is emphatically removed when the One who is Resurrection catches us in his arms.

Peace, All Good! Fr. Mike

REBUILD, REFRESH, RENEW UDATES:

ALREADY DONE: Statue of Our Lady of Fatima has been removed and a new one has been ordered. IN PROCESS RIGHT NOW : Architect is working on detailed drawings for Our La-dy of Fatima's new place and prayer areas inside the church. NEXT ON THE LIST: The restrooms in front of the school and new school office.

Projects of this size feel like they take forever, and are sooo ex-pensive… but worth it, since we aim to ensure a vibrant Catho-lic presence here for decades to come.

whole world.

Hello St. Margaret’s Families, During this unique time, we hope to communicate clearly with you the changes, cancellations and important information concerning the confirmation program and faith learning classes for younger students. Rest assured, we know the importance of our loved ones, so every decision will have the safety of our community as our top priority. As a re-sult we are currently: Cancelling all faith formation classes (1st through 8th grade) and confirmation classes un-til Monday, April 6th. This includes first communion, RCIA, youth ministry gatherings, special events, service projects, etc. Also, we are giving year 3 students extra time to complete their requirements (e.g. service hours) before our confirmation ceremony in April. As more information is released concerning the coronavirus we will update you via email and text. Finally and most importantly, know that our parish staff and team are praying for you and our community during this challenging time. Blessings, Nancy and Joe
