What is Reverse Shots

• The camera views the actions of the characters from the opposite side.

• In a conversation:– The camera is looking from one actor to the other

Why do you need to use this in a filming conversation?

• To get the feeling of the conversation– Responding – Questions and Answers– Show facial expressions

• A cut that connect two different shots.• An edit takes place in the middle of an action.

What is 180 degree rule

• The 180° rule is a basic guideline in film making that states that two characters (or other elements) in the same scene should always have the same left/right relationship to each other.
