All Art Extravaganza artists winning a category or receiving a High Commendation from the
judges will win the right to display an artwork at SunPAC at (Sunnybank Performing Arts
Centre) 470 McCullough Street, Sunnybank for a period of three months
The launch will coincide with the Art Extravaganza Awards Presentation Cocktail Evening
in the expansive foyer at SunPAC 6 – 8.30pm Tuesday 31 July.
Artworks can remain on display at SunPAC until 30 October 2018. The artwork does not
have to have been exhibited at Art Extravaganza.
Artwork sold can be replaced by the artist.
Each artist, if they so choose, can have one artwork auctioned at the launch on 31 July.
Unless the highest bidder reaches at least the reserve price set by the artist, such an
artwork will not be sold.
30% commission will be retained by the Lions Club of Brisbane Macgregor

EXHIBITION TWO: THE EXCLUSIVE BOUTIQUE COLLECTION
READ ON FOR ‘CONDITIONS OF ENTRY’
The Lions Club of Brisbane Macgregor Inc. (ABN 52596450110) is the organizer of the Macgregor
Lions Garden City Art Extravaganza. In the event of any question or questions concerning the
meaning of these Conditions, or where no precedent for any matter exists, the matter shall be
referred to the Macgregor Lions Garden City Art Extravaganza Committee (hereafter referred to as
‘the Organizing Committee’), whose decision will be final. In this document use of the term
‘Organizing Committee’ includes the Organizing Committee’s nominees.
1.ENTRY TERMS
1.1. In addition to this document Entry Forms and Conditions of Entry are available for viewing

City Art Extravaganza”.
1.2. Artists must complete the Entry Form in compliance with the Conditions of Entry and must correctly describe each artwork otherwise the artwork/s will not be accepted.
1.3. Each artwork must be an unaided original work of the Artist post 1 January 2016 and must not have been previously exhibited in Art Extravaganza. Digital images are required for each entry.
1.4. Artists may enter up to eight artworks, being a maximum of four in Exhibition One and a maximum of four in Exhibition Two. The maximum framed size of any artwork in Exhibition One is 1 square metre, providing the framed width is no greater than 92cms and the framed depth no greater than 120cms. In Exhibition Two the maximum framed width is 51cms and the maximum framed depth is also 51cms. Diptych and triptych entries are acceptable in both exhibitions as one work, in one category, provided the overall framed artworks are not greater than so stated earlier in this clause.
1.5. Artists must provide their ABN number (if applicable) and any GST status, on the Artworks Accepted form, otherwise the Organizing Committee reserves the right to refuse entry. Artists are responsible for all payments and compliance required by the ATO or GST related law.
1.6. Return of the completed Artworks Accepted form by email and payment of the Entry Fee will
signify the artistʼs acceptance and agreement to all Conditions of Entry and verification that all
information provided to the Organizing Committee is true and correct.

‘CONDITIONS OF ENTRY’ ART EXTRAVAGANZA 18 JUNE – 1 JULY 2018
1.7. At time of delivery, works must be well framed and ready for hanging with appropriate
strength wire or durable cord attached, suitable flush “D” hangers only. Good quality stretch
canvases, (approx. 4cm deep-sided for Exhibition One artworks and a minimum of 2cm deep for
Exhibition Two artworks) with sides finished as part of the work. Strong well
supported stretched canvasses are acceptable in Exhibition One.
2. ENTRY FEES
2.1 Being a 14 day Art Extravaganza, the GST inclusive Entry fees are:
Exhibition One $26 per accepted artwork
Exhibition Two $20 per accepted artwork
2.2 Entry Fee/s are payable when the Artworks Accepted form is returned. Payment options
are direct bank deposit or cheque. Details will be on the Artworks Accepted form and will
be required before the final acceptance of artwork/s.
3. SALE PRICE & COMMISSION & PRIZES
3.1 All works must be for sale at the price set by the artist and stated on the Artworks
Accepted form. A 30 percent commission will be retained by the Lions Club of Brisbane Macgregor Inc. 3.2 Payments, less commissions, will be mailed or direct deposited by 31 July 2018. A Tax Invoice will be issued for commissions deducted.
3.3. Prize Money Payments, other than for the ‘Best in Show’ and ‘Public Choice’ categories, will be mailed or direct deposited by 31 July 2018.A tax Invoice will be provided. 3.4. Winners of the ‘Best in Show’ and ‘Public Choice’ categories will be provided with their Westfield XS Gift Card no later than 31 July 2018.
4. ACCEPTANCE PROCESS
4.1 To be eligible for acceptance images must be of the full artwork, and provided in high
resolution jpeg format with maximum file size, 500kb per image. The Organizing Committee
has the right to reject any artwork for hanging that is different from the image.
4.2 All artists must have or have access to an email address.
4.3 All entries must be original paintings and the original unaided work of the artist.
Photographic/electronic or embellished reproductions will not be considered.
Electronically enhanced images of artwork on entries will be unacceptable.
4.4 Every effort will be made by The Organizing Committee to display all accepted artworks.
4.5 Upon Acceptance, artists are required to provide a diagram illustrating the preferred
hanging procedure for multi-panel artworks.
4.6 After the Selection Process, Artists will receive an Artworks Accepted notification form.
4.7 The Artworks Accepted form and Entry Fee/s payment must be received by the Organizing
Committee by the due date, otherwise acceptance to participate may be withdrawn.
4.8 On return of the Artist Accepted form with the entry fee/s, each artwork will be entered in its category. All accepted artworks are eligible for the ‘ Best-of-Show Award’.
5. NON-ACCEPTABLE WORK
5.1 The organizing committee, reserves the right to withhold any works from judging and
may also withhold such artworks from display where the artwork is considered to be non-
acceptable for any reason, including, but not limited to:
Not suitable for viewing in a familiar environment;
Being wet;
Being without suitable frame or hanging wire;
Incorrectly labeled;
Oversized, or contrary to the entry guidelines specified in Section 1 above.
Works found to be damaged when delivered by courier or a third party.
There will be no refund of the entry fee for non accepted work so classified under 5.1
5.2 The organizing committee, reserves the right to remove any unacceptable works from
display at any time during the art show.
6. JUDGING
6.1 The winning art works with the exception of the Public Choice Award, will be announced at the Official Opening of Art Extravaganza at the Forum, Westfield Garden City
7pm Monday 18 June 2018; All artists will then be notified of the results by email. 6.2 All judging decisions will be final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
7. INSURANCE
7.1 The organizing committee will exercise due care in handling all artworks but will not accept responsibility for any loss or damage caused while in its custody
7.2 Insurance coverage for accidental damage, loss, or theft is the responsibility of each artist.
8 RECEIPT AND COLLECTION OF ARTWORKS
8.1 Delivery of Artworks: Artworks are to be delivered free of any charges to
the exhibition area, Westfield Garden City, Upper Mount Gravatt on
Sunday 17 June 2018 between 7 and 8.30pm only. The labels supplied by
the Organizing Committee must be attached to artworks prior delivery.
8.2 Entrants not residing in the local government areas of Brisbane, Redlands, Logan,
Ipswich and Moreton Bay may make arrangements for courier deliveries or in person
deliveries to a temporary storage facility - refer Section 9.
8.3 Collection: Unsold artworks must be collected from the exhibition area of Westfield Garden City, Upper Mount Gravatt on Sunday 1 July 2018 between 5.30 and 6.30pm.
8.4 There are no holding and storage facilities at Westfield Garden City, so any uncollected
items will be taken to our temporary storage facility – see Section 9
9. ENTRIES EXTERNAL OF BRISBANE, REDLANDS, LOGAN, IPSWICH & MORETON
BAY
9.1 These entrants may courier or hand deliver their artworks to: Plush Puppy 2/23 Luke Street, Hemmant Qld 4174 between the hours of 9am and 4pm Monday to Friday 4 – 8 June and Monday to Thursday 11 - 14 June.
9.2 Works that are not securely wrapped will not be accepted. The Organizing Committee will exercise due care in handling and transporting artworks, but will not accept responsibility for any loss or damage, however caused, while the said artworks are in it’s custody.
9.3 The temporary storage provider accepts no responsibility for insurance of artworks.
9.4 Unsold a r t works that are not collected from Garden City will be temporarily stored at Plush Puppy until collected in person or artists arrange for their works to be couriered to them at their cost. All artworks must be collected or couriered no later than 13 July 2018. 10. PUBLICITY
10.1 The artist agrees to grant the organizing committee the right for works to be reproduced
for media promotion and review for this Art Extravaganza and any future staging, or to
be recorded and used for documentation. Copyright will reside solely with the artist.
10.2 The artist agrees to provide the Organizing Committee with a written Artist Profile and grants the organizing committee approval for use of the information in this profile for publicity, promotional and sales activity at and external of Art Extravaganza. 10.3 The artist agrees to participate in any Art Extravaganza promotional activity when reasonably requested by the organizing committee.
11. INDEMNITIES
11.1 By returning the completed Artworks Accepted form by email each artist indemnifies and releases the organizing committee from claims for any loss, damage, theft or any other claim with respect to the works in the custody of the organizing committee.
12. WARRANTY
12.1 The artist warrants that each and every artwork is owned by the artist and is an unencumbered original work of art by that artist and fully complies with the entry conditions as set out in section 1. The artist indemnifies the organizing committee of any breach of warranty or any default or defect in any such work.
13. PRIVACY
13.1 The Lions Club of Brisbane Macgregor Inc. is a not-for-profit association. The provisions of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) apply in respect to information received in the ordinary course of operation. Accordingly, the Club’s privacy policy can be viewed at: www.br isbanemacgregor .q ld . l ions.org.au and on request, a copy of such policy can be provided to the artist. 14. FURTHER OPPORTUNITY
14.1 Artists who win a category or receive a Highly Commended in Art Extravaganza will be given the
opportunity to display art at SunPac, 470 McCullough Street, Sunnybank, as of Tuesday 31 July. Artists
are not obliged to accept the opportunity.
14.2 Each artwork to be hung will be determined by consultation between the Lions Club of Brisbane
Macgregor and each artist. The artwork does not have to be a winning or highly commended artwork.
14.3 The artwork, unless sold is to remain displayed for a period of three months.
14.4 When an artwork is sold, the artist will be invited to display a further artwork
14.5 There will be a very modest hanging fee of $10 per artwork hung
14.6 The launch of the Art Extravaganza exhibition at SunPac will be 6 – 8.30pm Tuesday 31 July in the
form of an Art Extravaganza Awards Cocktail Evening.
14.7 Each artist who wins a category or receives recognition by way of a Highly Commended in Art
Extravaganza will be presented with a framed certificate with the centerpiece being an image of the prize
artwork.
14.8 A cash bar will operate in the foyer area of SunPac, an area that can accommodate up to 300.
Finger food will be provided. Winning artists within the Art Extravaganza Exhibition at Garden City will be
invited to attend as guests along with a second person. Highly Commended winners will be asked to pay
a modest fee of $15. Artists who participate in Art Extravaganza, but who do not win a category, or who
do not receive a Highly Commended, may also attend for the fee of $15.
14.9 During the Art Extravaganza Awards Cocktail evening each artist, may if they wish, make available
one artwork for auction. The artwork will only be sold if the reserve price as nominated by the artist is
reached
14.10 Artwork is to be available for sale at the Art Extravaganza Awards Cocktail evening and following
that evening, through until October 30 2018.
14.11 A 30% commission will apply on artworks sold or successfully auctioned in the period 31 July – 30
October 2018.
14.12 The 30% commission will enable the Brisbane Macgregor Lions Club Inc. to distribute from that
30%, 10% to Multicap at Eight Mile Plains, 10% to SunPac, 5% to the Mackenzie State Special School
and 5% to the Nursery Road State Special School
