In Matthew’s Words…• We’ve all often heard that a little

bit makes a big difference. I often wondered how much my small, insignificant purchases throughout the day added up to, and what better way could that money be channeled? When I heard about Firstgiving, it excited me to start this project, and really there was no excuse left not to do what I could to raise money for WaterAid.

• “If our expenditure on comforts, luxuries, amusements, etc., is up to the standard common among those with the same income as our own, we are probably giving away too little.” C.S. Lewis

A Drop in the Bucket!

• Lead by example – Encourage participation by reminding people of your own commitment

• Don’t make it complicated– Start with something everyone already knows, such as a cliché or everyday

occurrence

• Use networking sites (Facebook, YouTube) to spread the word – Today’s technology makes philanthropy available to anyone.
