The cooperative offers a rebate and rate discount to members who install a plenum heater in their fossil-fuel furnace, with or without an add-on heat pump. A plenum heater is electric resistance heat that fits into theplenum of an existing fossil-fuel furnace. If you use a plenum heater along with an add-on heat pump, you areable to capture the full efficiency of the heat pump. By using the heat pump longer to lower outdoortemperatures, members can continue to take advantage of the kilowatt-hour rate discount.

RebateThe cooperative will issue to a member who installs a plenum heater in their fossil-fuel furnace a $300

rebate. However, if a member wishes, a WarmFlo® plenum heater will be supplied by the cooperative to themember at no cost (while supplies last, in lieu of the $300 rebate).

Rate DiscountMembers will have the electric resistance heat and/or heat pump use metered

separately and receive a 2.3-cent per kilowatt-hour discount that will be applied totheir electric bill October through May. Members with an add-on heat pump will alsoreceive a 1.5 cent per kWh discount in the summer months of June thru September. A$2 monthly charge will be added to the monthly electric bill to cover the cost of thesub-meter. This sub-meter will automatically read the meter and then send the readingto the cooperative each month.

Time and Temperature ScheduleThe plenum heater in a Dual Fuel system switches to fossil fuel under the following

Time and Temperature Schedule.
