Point

• A point names a location and has no size.

Line (Segment)

• A line is a straight path that has no thickness and extends forever.

Plane

• A plane is a flat surface that has no thickness and extents forever.

Angle

• An angle is a figure formed by two rays with a common endpoint.

Perpendicular Lines

• Are lines that intersect to form a 90⁰ angle.

Parallel Lines

• Parallel lines are lines that are in the same plane and never intersect.

Triangle

• A triangle is a polygon that has three sides, and the sum of the angles add up to 180 degrees.

Right Triangle

• A right triangle is a triangle that has one right angle.

Pentagon

• A pentagon is a five sided polygon.

Hexagon

• A hexagon is a six sided polygon in which the angles add up to 720⁰.

Square

• Is a quadrilateral with four congruent sides and four right angles which add up to 360⁰.

Rectangle

• A rectangle is a quadrilateral that has four right angles.

Trapezoid

• It is a quadrilateral with only one pair a parallel lines.

Parallelogram

• A parallelogram is a quadrilateral with exactly two pairs of parallel sides.

Circle

• The set of points in a plane that are a fixed distance from a given point called the center of the circle.

Cylinder

• A three dimensional figure with two parallel congruent circular bases and a curved lateral surface that connects the bases.

Sphere

• The set of point in space that are a fixed distance from a given point called the center of the sphere.

Cone

• A cone is a three dimensional figure with a circular base and a curved lateral surface that connects the base to a point called the vertex.

Octagon

• An octagon is a eight sided polygon whose angles add up to 1080 degrees.

Prism

• Is a polyhedron formed by two parallel congruent polygonal bases connected by lateral faces that are parallelograms.
