Bolaven Plateau Coffee Producers Cooperative or CPC was created in 2007 with the support of the Lao Government and the French Development Agency (AFD). CPC is 100% farmers’ owned and consists of about 1,855 coffee growing households spread across 55 villages. In 2012, CPC exported 603 tons of green coffee. The Bolaven Plateau is located in southern Laos and known for its cool climate and high-quality soil. This is why the Mon Ta Champa Lao Gardens were established in this location. A large portion of the land was planned to produce cold weather fruits and owers using an agro-tourism angle to create awareness about how to appreciate agriculture better through offering a direct customer experience.
