Year 5 students visited Gundagai Pre School last Thursday and met a number of eager children ready to begin school in 2019. This visit was another step in the comprehensive transition program Gundagai Public School delivers to ensure that we offer a seamless transition into the primary school setting.
Congratulations to everyone who completed the Premiers Sporting Challenge this year. This week students will be recognised with a special certificate to acknowledge their commitment to an active lifestyle. It is very exciting to announce that construction on our top block COLA has begun. This is a project that has taken a lot of effort to secure but is now underway. Having a covered area for students to use both in wet weather and on very hot days will be so beneficial. Wifi connection will be
accessable from this covered area, making it also a very pleasant outdoor learning space. This area will be fully operational on our return to school in 2019.

MEDICATION There are guidelines we must follow around administering medication at school. Please be aware of the following:
If students need to take medication while at school parents must complete a written request. Students must not keep these medications with them. They need to be handed it in to the office when they arrive at school.
Prescribed medication is usually sent on a daily basis and in a pharmacy labelled container detailing the student’s name and the prescribed dosage.

2. Mark all clothing with student’s name. It’s amazing how many socks and towels are in need of an owner at the end of the swimming lessons.
3. Should sickness or injury prevent your child from swimming a note for your child’s teacher is required.
