Dr. Arun Arora,Chairman of theFoundation in an addressto the teachers stressedupon the need of menstrualhygiene. He said that poormenstrual hygiene can leadto genital tract infections,blockage of fallopian tubes,infertility and at times canlead to even cancer.

Swachh Nanhi SwasthNanhi - project was

launched by PushpanjaliFoundation. This projectinvolves providing free san-itary napkins to underpriv-ileged young girls wherein106 underprivileged girlswere adopted by the foun-dation who will be providedfree sanitary napkin forone year.

He further said that foun-dation plans to adopt moreunderprivileged girls infuture. Sanitary napkinsdisposal is a big cleanlinessissue, for which foundationis trying to install disposalmachines in girls' schoolsand colleges.
