Happy Thursday!
Here are some things you should know
Tomorrow!
Friendship Friday........... February 17th - 10 A.M.
Guest Speaker...... Sophia, dietician educator
Hidden sugars, reading food labels
ALL welcome.
Men’s Dinner – March 25th at 5:30pm (Dinner starts at 6pm)-- they are
currently looking for donations for their silent auction. They can be
actual physical things or can be a service or special item i.e. A hike with
lunch, a coupon for a lawn mowing etc. If you have something to
donate please contact Barry Baskin – 250-372-8827 or email
barrybaskin@telus.net
From the Dean
The Dean is looking for someone to video record the Faith lectures on
Sunday Evening, Feb 26 commencing at 7 p.m. and the next day at 10
a.m. We have a good quality camera which is simple to use. The
challenge is simply to watch over the equipment and make basic
changes as required. If you are interested and able please speak with
the Dean.
The Dean initiated a song-writing challenge last Sunday. He is inviting
budding poets and song-writers to get busy and write something
suitable for use during Easter Season. He has already received four
submissions and is working on a piece himself.
Please indicate your interest to him as soon as possible. We will likely
host a writer’s workshop during Lent and have an evening of song
drawing in part on the music of Gordon Light. Stay tuned (pun
intended).
Soup Needed
The basement freezer is ALMOST EMPTY. This is a call out for our
wonderful soup makers to please bring me some more! There are lots
of containers in the bins in the kitchen. Don’t want to make soup? You
can cup up lasagne or whatever you want! They particularly like Beef
Stroganoff at the moment.
Thanks in advance
