Damaged Door and Windows

• Only a few lots had broken doors or windows

• One home had homemade screen over the front

windows

• Others had doors and windows that looked like they

were under construction

• Only a couple of minor damages to porches

• There was slight deterioration • Rotting and bending boards

• Paint peeling

• Missing railings and steps were also noted in a few incidents

• Roof and chimney damage was barely seen in this section

• There were only missing and deteriorated shingles noticed

on the actual roof

• Fascia and soffits were generally in good condition

• It looked like many houses just haven’t been painted in a

long time

• Fading and peeling paint was common on houses

• Besides low paint quality, the siding was intact and not

damaged

• There were two houses next to each other that had a lot

of furniture, toys and other miscellaneous items covering

the porch

deteriorating soffits and fascias

• Damage and holes were not large enough for an animal to get in

• Several houses were missing gutters

Cluttered yards, items like this camper parked in the lawn, which has caused

damage to the grass.

Yard was bounded by this makeshift fence that consisted of metal rods and a

sort of chicken wire.

There were no vacant or for sale lots in section 6

Future Planning

• Overall the area was not in immediate need of repair

• Seems to be in same or better condition that other

sections

• Areas that need most attention:

• Cracked sidewalks

• Detached structures in poor

condition

• Significant debris/brush on lots

• Peeling paint and

deteriorating porches
