Dear Northwest Health Foundation:

On behalf of [organizational name] in [county], we are pleased to support the Early Learning

Hub of Linn, Benton, & Lincoln Counties’ (the Hub) Communities Collaborate grant application

to Northwest Health Foundation.

[organization] serves [number of children/families]in [county/communities]. Our mission is to…

[describe your services for children and families and your commitment to collaborate with the

Hub to improve health for children and families. ] The Hub is the organization in our three-county

region that is engaging early childhood partners and health care organizations using an equity

lens to build power and capacity to impact kindergarten readiness and healthy birth outcomes.

It is critical that parent and family voices and experiences are integrated into our collaborative

work to improve health and education outcomes for our most vulnerable children and families.

With funds from the HB+HC Planning Grant, the Hub has already brought together diverse

programs and organizations to assess their current capacity to engage parents in meaningful

ways. The Hub has also held focus groups to bring forward diverse parent and family voices

throughout the three counties and assess the current status of leadership and engagement. [if

you participated in an HB+HC Partner Meeting or hosted a Parent Focus group you may

describe your experience here]

Expanding the use of best practice parent engagement strategies proposed in this application

we will reduce health and other disparities among low-income, communities of color, rural and

other underserved communities in the region. By strengthening and increasing the

engagement, participation, leadership and decision-making role of parents in our program we

will improve health and educational outcomes for children.

Our collaborative efforts will be strengthened by the project’s commitment to fostering

meaningful parent and family engagement in this important work.

Sincerely,

[name] [Title] [Organization]
