TRANSCRIPT

The author wanted to establish a social presence to help publicize the release of her new book, as well as drive traffic to her blog about love addiction. Using twitter, posts directly addressed people conversing about addiction and drove them directly to the blog.

This campaign needed a fan base growth, therefore one of the better strategies was to use trending hashtags. This allowed users interested in similar topics to view these campaign posts and click through to the profile.

The campaign attempted to gain more followers through social influence. The content tagged key influencers involved in the project and encouraged them to retweet posts.

This campaign was targeted at the 13 -17 year old female demographic. The post phraseology was designed to relate to a younger age group, the aim was for the reader to feel as if they were conversing with their BFF. The topics of the posts were themed to the issues this age group deals with, including school dances, discovering a sense of self and bullying.

For both Facebook and Twitter profiles, the goal was to optimize user engagement. Posts encouraged users to respond with their opinions and their own stories. Since visitors of the Wendy pages were fans of the actor Tyler Blackburn, content was centered around this star.

By directly reaching out to the Senior Editor of Buzzfeed.com I was able to establish a placement for my client’s video. From this placement several other subsequent placements on The Gloss and The FW, tweets from supporters, and even a response from celebrity Jason Segel followed within 24 hours of the posting of the video.
