Lifeguard Certification Several types of lifeguard certification:
Lifeguarding – holders can work as lifeguards in normal swimming pool
Waterfront Lifeguarding – holders can work as lifeguards in non-surf, open-water areas such as inland lakes, ponds, and rivers
Waterpark Lifeguarding – holders can work as lifeguards in various waterparks.
Shallow Water Lifeguarding – holders can work as lifeguards in water environments that are up to 4/5 feet deep, e.g. kiddie pools, rivers, or the shallow pools
Surf Lifeguarding – holders can work as lifeguards in surf environments like ocean beaches which is the most demanding and dangerous venue
