How to change your WIFI password for a Netgear router

In this demonstration, I will show you how to change your password for a Netgear router. I will also show you how to get into your routers management page, which works with all routers

Get to the router login page• Type cmd into the search bar on the bottom left.

• Or click the start button and type cmd.

• Command Prompt should show up, either way, click the program.

• This works for any brand of router.

Type ipconfig in the window and hit enter• Look for the default gateway

followed by dots. Mine is 192.168.1.1

In a browser, type in the number sequence.

Enter credentials • For many routers, the

username is admin.

• The password is usually password or admin.

• If you don’t know go to http://www.routerpasswords.com/

• To change the password, click on the wireless square or the wireless tab.

• For security options, WPA2 is the strongest security option.

• For the password or (Network Key) type your password as exampled in the pictured.

• Scroll down and do it again for 5GHz, it looks exactly the same.

Click the green apply button and logout.
