Area

Can the geographic

location support your business?

Think of your business’s area as how far people drive to go to the grocery store in your city.

Ask the following questions...

How many people live there?

Are they your target customers?

Do they spend money locally?

What does the competition in the area look like?

Access

Big Cities=

Foot Traffic

Public Transport&

In smaller cities and suburbs its all about the car.

Don’t forget about parking.

Noticeability

2 Types

Proximity (Customers notice you because they are going to a nearby location)

Drive By (They drive by your store and notice your signage or window display)

Surrounding Area

Do you want to be close or far from the competition?

With higher priced items like cars you want to be close to the

competition. (Click here to learn why)

You may also want to be close to businesses that compliment
