Open a blank slide

2 Change background colour to black. This is our night sky.

(a) Insert an Oval Shape(b) Draw a circle (Moon)

Enter Shape Height & Width as 8This creates a perfect circle (diameter 8)

Fill white colourRemove the outline

This will make the Moon white

Using Align featurePlace the moon in the center

of the slide (sky)

Align Center (right to left)Align Middle (top to bottom)

Select Moon -> CTRL C & CTRL VCopy the Moon and create another Shape for Earth

Change the colour of the Earth to black.This is the shadow of Earth falling on the Moon.

Place the Earth’s shadow (black shape) on the left-bottom of the slide.Use Align Options under Arrange (under Home Tab)

Select Earth’s Shadow. Under Animations -> Custom Animation -> Choose a Line Motion Path

We need to move the Earth over the Moon and beyond

Click near the center of Earth’s shadow and drag the line to draw Motion Path

Finish the Motion Path near the top-right end of the slide. Make sure this line (of Motion Path) cuts the white Moon from near the centre.

Click hereTo change Speed of Earth’s Shadow

Enter the number you want. The higher the number, the slower the speed.

Press F5Click once and see your own Lunar Eclipse (whenever you want, wherever you want)
