How to extract SAP table data
into QlikView applications
We start the Xtract QV Designer. Click Connect (1) to connect to the local Xtract QV Server. Click New (2) to create a new
Extraction. Enter a name for the extraction (3) Select Table as extraction type (4) and Click Ok to continue.

In the Xtract Connection Manager fill in the logon credentials (1) and host information (2)Test the Connection (3)
and Click OK to confirm (4)

The Data Source dialog opens open the Look Up dialog (1)
Fill in the table name (2) Click to search the table (3)

Select your table (1)Click OK to confirm the selection (2)

The metadata is automatically fetched from SAPNow select the fields you want to extract (1)
Optional you can use a Where Clause in the text field (2)

Open the settings dialog (1) and fill out the settings (2)In this example we only want to extract 100 rows

Click OK to go back to the Designer Main Screen (1)

Right click on the extraction and select Copy QV Script to generate the ready-to-use QlikView script into the clipboard (1)

Start QlikView and create a new document.Open the Script Editor (1)

Paste the QlikView Script from the clipboard into the Main area by pressing Ctrl + V (1)
Click OK to exit the Script Editor (2)

Run the Script (1)After successful loading click to start Quick Chart Wizard (2)
Select Bar Chart (3)Click Next to go to the next screen (4)

Select CARRID from the list of the Dimensions (1)Click Next to go to the next screen (2)

Select Seatsmax from the Drop Down list (1)Click Next to go to the Next screen (2)
