How to Use the Work Experience Database

Log in

If asked select student

Enter name and pin

Go to http://iom.learnaboutwork.org

Own Placement

Select the Own Placement tab

Own Placement

Enter the name of the company and press print

Own Placement

This will create your form. Print it and then take it to the company and get them to complete it.

Return to Mrs Kelly ASAP.

Click Search and select the area you are

interested in.

Click view to see the job description.

If you like it click add to selections

My-Work-Experience.com Placement

You will be asked to confirm your pin. When you have six, order

them by preference (1 being best) and click submit. Do not do this until you have all six and are happy to do any of your selections.

Your selections will be locked once you have pressed submit but you can still view your choices and job descriptions.

When a placement has been allocated you will be notified and the next phase of the process will begin.
